And what a lineup it is already! To help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Byron Bay Bluesfest, festival organisers today released the first artist announcement for next Easter’s festival, with names like Jack Johnson, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Ray Lamontagne, Kasey Chambers, St Paul & The Broken Bones, Tommy Emmanuel, Colin Hay, Arlo Guthrie, Keb’ Mo’ and I’m With Her to name but a few added to the annual festival.
Kasey Chambers will perform ‘The Captain’ album in its entirety, as well as her other hits, on the 20-year anniversary of first playing it at her main stage festival debut at Bluesfest.
For lovers of all genres of music, the Byron Bay Bluesfest is a festival experience not to be missed. It showcases music from around the world annually on the Easter long weekend on 120 hectares at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, just north of Byron Bay, NSW.
Bluesfest presents over 200 performances with various stages over 5, 12 hour days, as well as camping for up to 6,000 people, 5 licensed bars, over 100 food and market stalls, undercover food courts, beer gardens, and children’s entertainment.
“Our 30th Anniversary Bluesfest will be a MAJOR event in a long line of great festivals. We will only turn 30 once,” said director Peter Noble, “and we intend to make this edition truly memorable!”
From a modest crowd of 6,000 when it began in 1990, Bluesfest now attracts an audience of over 100,000. It is regarded as the foremost destination festival in Australia & renowned for being a safe, fun, family-friendly event.
